Shelly and Richard are saying I Do this Sat, November 15th. They will be getting married out at McMenamin's Edgefield, a fabulous place for an event. All the guests can stay on site, there is plenty for them to do and see before the party and the grounds are beautiful. These two are fun! I'm excited for the dancing at the reception, from what they've told me I envision folks getting their groove on. It looks like sunshine is in the forecast...I can't wait! See you soon...
August has officially started. The sun is out, well maybe not today, and it's time to get married! This month is going to be crazy fun and fly by. The weekend starts out with Kelsey and Josh getting married at the sweetest little chapel near Oaks Park, I honestly can't wait for tomorrow. We're going to have access to the amusement park for photos, I think I might pass out from the excitement of shooting with that backdrop! These two have kind hearts but always keep it a bit goofy. Love that. See you soon:)
Then it's off to the beautiful Garden Vineyards on Sunday for Karen & Eric's wedding. I'm excited to head out there since I've never shot there before and being outside all day is always a treat. I was surprised to see they are a bit silly, this side didn't come out until we did their engagement session downtown. At one point they started arm wrestling, I thought Karen was going to beat him for a minute and she might have since he had injured his arm doing this with a friend awhile back...ouch! I love how they connect with each other when they are together. And then I love how they can strike a silly pose just for fun...can't wait you two. See you Sunday!
Lauren and Scott must be excited, they are getting married tomorrow! I'm excited too to see the details they have planned. Getting to see the dress is a fun one and the color of the bouquets. They really set the mood for the day, I'm thinking classic and modern for these two.
For their engagement session we headed to the wonderful Park Blocks and tried not to talk about the heat too much! Poor Scott was a bit warm wearing jeans, I could see it in his face that he was counting down the minutes until he could change! This Saturday is looking to be a perfect day; sunny and 80 degrees on the Eco Trust Terrace; it doesn't get much better than that! See you soon.
I'm excited to announce that an article I submitted to Photographik.com was chosen to be featured on their website! The site features top wedding and portrait photographers from around the world. My article talks about the importance of the engagement session and how to make the most of it.

Jessica and Oswaldo came to my studio for their engagement session back in November. Wow, that seems like forever ago! We walked around my building and had fun along the train tracks which made a great urban backdrop. These two love birds are saying I Do tomorrow, on the 4th of July. You know sparks will be flying as they celebrate with everyone at Cornielus Pass Roadhouse. See you two soon.
After we shoot their wedding, we'll crash (sleep) and wake up to drive north to Seattle for Pam & Norman's big day. I'm excited to have my husband Danen shooting with me all weekend. He does a great job at capturing candids and helping me haul around my gear. I'll be back in on Monday the 7th, have a safe and fun 4th of July everyone!
I'm a bit late posting Vanessa and John's engagement pics. I was trying to get them up before the weekend but ran out of time. I had a busy one. Starting off at the coast for an amazing day with Karen & Mark, then the next day heading out to the stunning Mt. Hood Bed and Breakfast. I must say that my summer is off to a great start with so many wonderful couples. Vanessa and John are two of the sweetest people I've met and had a blast on their wedding day, which was amazing. Check back in few weeks to see their pics. Enjoy!
Lien and Mark met me at the lovely Peninsula Rose Garden. This is such a great park and I really enjoy shooting here, plus this is my hood! I live near here. They brought their sweet little puppy who was so excited to sniff and sniff some more. I love dogs and beagles remind me of back home where my dad has two of them. We'll be heading to Arch Cape on friday to photograph their wedding day, then up to the Surfsand Resort for the reception. Can't wait! I love the Oregon coast. Enjoy.
